The Emergency IACUC meeting is held.

The committee is rather concerned at Dr. Kutter's attitude and at his lack of respect for the AV's authority. The Committee hears the report from the AV, a staff veterinarian and a report from the chair regarding his conversation with the PI, Dr. Bigdolah, who is still out of town.

After hearing all the details, the IACUC should:

1. Ask the PI to submit an amendment to cover the new procedures.
2. Contact the sponsor and ask project manager at Northeast Medical Equipment Inc. to suspend the project until an amendment is submitted.
3. Ask the IO to suspend the protocol.
4. Contact Dr. Bigdolah's chair, Dr. Lyons, and ask that she suspend Dr. Bigdolah's PI privileges, on the project.
5. None of the above
